Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to what we get asked the most. Can't find what you need? Message us on WhatsApp and we'll fill the gap.

Are Cuba and Dubai handled by the same team?

Yes — we're one company, RentalHo, operating in both markets since 2018. The two operations are completely separate financially and legally (Cuba follows local regulations; Dubai is a UAE-licensed holiday-home operator with DET registration). Same standards of hospitality, distinct legal entities.

Can I pay with a card for a stay in Cuba?

Not online — current US sanctions on Cuba block major card processors from settling Cuba-bound transactions. We accept cash on arrival (USD or EUR), bank transfer for longer stays, and select crypto payments. Write to us and we'll propose the cleanest option for your case.

Is the price I see the price I pay?

Yes. The total you see at checkout includes the nightly subtotal, cleaning fee, and any applicable discount. No surprise fees, no service fees, no "platform fees" tacked on later. Tourism tax (Dubai Tourism Dirham) for Dubai stays is collected per-night by your host on arrival, separately and clearly itemized.

How accurate are the photos?

Every photo is from the actual property at the time it was photographed (mostly within the last 12 months). We don't use stock photos, generic interior renders, or AI-generated images. If a unit looks different from the photos when you check in, write to us and we'll make it right.

Do you offer monthly or long-term stays?

Yes. Most of our Dubai units accept stays of 1 month or longer at a discounted rate (typically 10–15% off the nightly). Cuba has full long-term-rental options for diplomatic, corporate, and personal stays. See "Monthly stays" in the footer or write to us with your dates.

What if my flight is delayed and I arrive at 3 AM?

No problem. Our standard check-in window is 3 PM – 8 PM, but we offer 24/7 self-check-in via smart locks on the majority of our Dubai units. Just send us your flight info and we'll coordinate the door code so you walk straight in.

Are pets allowed?

Some units yes, most no. Pet-friendly listings are tagged on the property page. There is usually a one-time cleaning supplement of AED 100–250 for pets in Dubai. For Cuba, this is on a case-by-case basis.

Can I extend my stay once I'm there?

Subject to availability, yes. WhatsApp the same host thread you booked from and we'll check the calendar and pricing for the extra nights. Extensions confirmed before noon usually settle the same day.

Do you handle visa or transfer arrangements?

We don't issue visas, but we'll happily share what we know about UAE tourist visas (free for 50+ nationalities) and Cuba tourist cards (USD 25 at most airlines). For transfers we have a vetted driver list in both cities — message us with your flight and we'll quote.
